(From A.P.) The economic crisis wasn't an obstruction for some top executives in the United States to earn hundreds of millions of dollars. Thursday, Corporate Library, a shareholders organization, published their findings.
The Library list is headed by Stephen Schwarzman, CEO of the Blackstone Group, who earned just under 700 million dollars in 2008. Second is Lawrence Ellison of the Oracle Group (543 million dollar), and third Ray Irani of Occidental Petroleum (222 million). Most firms in the top-10 are energy companies. Corporate Library does state that the high rewards are not in comparison with the performances, because the companies values have declined.
