Nazi UFOs - Part 1 The History Menace

As I stated previously I'm having difficulties accepting the hypothesis that during the Nazi era 'flying saucers' were build and
that those Nazi's not only escaped but are even responsible for the contact cases of the 50's and 60's. I would like to point out certain facts which make that hypothesis difficult to accept. Let me start with the aircraft designs by the Nazi's and the aftermath.

The Germans were responsible for many aircraft designs, some highly innovative. The Messerschmitt Me262 was the first jet airplane to see service. The design itself was remarkable and outstanding, the only downside were the engines which had an expected operational lifetime of approximately 50 continuous flight hours, the Jumo 004s engines lasted just 12 hours, even with adequate maintenance. The Horten Ho 229 was another remarkable aircraft.
What becomes obvious, and this is a matter of historical record, is that the Germans lacked precious metals such as chromium
and aluminium and had to build there jet engines mostly out of steel. And that element had a tendency to break down a jet engine in a relatively short time. While the Me262 was a incredibly good design it came to late in the War to make a difference. The Germans had many Me262 airframes standing in the fields because they simply lacked the resources to build the engines. At this point in the war German industry was heavily bombed and it was difficult to import precious metals.
This doesn't support the German UFO Hypothesis. Germany was barely able to produce aircraft with jet propulsion and the ones they did build were prone to failures and engine fires. In other words, they hardly had a workable jet engine. The Nazi UFO theory claims that during this time flying saucers were build. That seems unlikely given the circumstances.

Rocket engines are another matter but pose other problems. The Comet (Me163) was a rocket powered airplane design which had an endurance of 10 minutes, after which the engine quits and the plane has to glide down. All the rockets the Germans build worked on the same principle; the engine fires and continues untill the fuel is used up. This might give the user a lot of speed and short reaction time but once the fuel is used up the craft or rocket becomes a hard to control object. Once again the Germans were at the scientifical frontier with the V-1 and V-2 rockets.

After the War ended many of the scientists that worked for the Nazi regime were recruited to work for other countries. This became known as Operation Paperclip. Scientists such as Wernher von Braun, inventor of the V-2 rocket, continued his work for the U.S. government and NASA. The Soviets picked up a number of scientists as well but especially in America it's visible how the groundwork of these German scientists went on.
However and this I find important, none of the 'flying saucer' designs or even components surfaced in the US or the USSR. Let me expand on that.

In America after the Second World War the innovative German scientists helped work on several projects. The US Space Program basicly started with the V-2 design made by Werner Von Braun. Von Braun even went on to design the Apollo rocket. The Airforce jet, the F-86 Sabre was basicly (re-)designed from the Me262 with its swept-back wings. The U.S. Air Force secretly funded the Avrocar project which might have been inspired by German engineers and I state the latter because I think it's not inconcievable that circular or saucer shaped aircraft might have been designed on paper by aeronautical engineers in Nazi Germany. However, other designs such as the Vought V-173 don't follow that scenario given the timeline and are clearly domestic.

To summarize, it's clear that a large number of outstanding German engineers and scientists continued their work in the United States. We can see that simply by knowing our history lessons and what's officially on record. However, we don't see a continuation of this alleged German super saucer tech, not even crossovers to other sciences. That begs the question if there were any German flying saucers to begin with. One down for the German UFO hypothesis.

P.S.
I haven't even touched upon the number 1 question; if Nazi Germany had actual flying saucers, why weren't they used in the War? There are also other (aeronautical) questions such as how did those alleged German flying saucer cope with crossing the sound barrier and supersonic flight? Because that in itself creates many technical problems. More on that and other things in upcoming posts.

Nazi UFOs - Intro

Time and time again I run into characters on forums who support the Nazi UFO (conspiracy) theory and that's a shame if you ask me. The theory goes that scientists in Nazi Germany developed flying saucers during the second world war and that they escaped with this technology to South America and/or Antarctica. Some even suggest that Hitler escaped as well. The theory also includes that some of the early contactees such as George Adamski were in fact contacted by these Germans and there are drawings - "schematics" out there that supposedly prove this part of the theory. The theory goes even further and Germans supposedly travelled to the Moon and Mars.

I think it's a load of bullocks. Recorded history showed nothing of the sort. German aircraft engineers might have worked on some outlandish looking prototypes but that's about it. If Nazi Germany had flying saucers with superior characteristics then they simply would have defeated the Allied Air Forces and we would all be typing German right now. What makes it even more disgusting is that it becomes obvious Neo Nazis jump on this myth and it's not unreasonable to assume that the latter have alterior motives. It is my conviction that the Nazi UFO theory is a load of crap. In the future I will expand on that over several posts.

Was President Kennedy Given ET UFO Message About Cuba?

(Article reproduced in its entirety with permission from the author, Michael Salla. The original article can be found here.)

A rare video has surfaced with important interviews and testimony concerning George Adamski’s claims of having filmed flying saucers and having met with their extraterrestrial occupants. The video gives credence to Adamski’s claims of having secret meetings with European dignitaries including Pope John XXIII and members of the Pentagon to secretly brief them about extraterrestrial life. Among the more controversial of Adamski’s claims is that he privately met with President Kennedy in late 1961. Adamski claims he passed on a message from his extraterrestrial contacts about a future world crisis. If true, Adamski and his extraterrestrials played an unknown role in advising Kennedy on the best strategy for future events such as the Cuban missile crisis.
The video contains a number of interviews with individuals that personally knew Adamski and were privy to the unique circumstances of his alleged contacts with extraterrestrials. Desmond Leslie, a former Royal Air Force pilot, Irish Lord and cousin to Winston Churchill, related his own investigation of Adamski. Adamski claimed he secretly visited Pope John XXIII and passed on a message from the extraterrestrials to him shortly before the Pope's death. Leslie was subsequently able to confirm Adamski’s did meet Pope John XXIII and was given a papal gold medallion for his service.
One of the most powerful pieces of evidence confirming Adamski’s claims of regular meetings with extraterrestrials occurred at the Silver Spring, Maryland home of Madeline Rodeffer on February 26, 1965. Rodeffer worked as a secretary for the US Air Force and was physically present when Adamski sighted a bell shaped flying saucer at her home. She saw it for approximately 10 minutes and at times could see human looking figures through the portholes. Adamski filmed the saucer using her camera when she was unable to film it herself due difficulties from a recovering broken leg. Prior to the sighting, she saw three young men arriving in an Oldsmobile who told Adamski to get ready to film the flying saucer. Adamski told Rodeffer that they were part of a human looking contingent of extraterrestrials living among humanity.
The film was subsequently analyzed by three independent photo/film image experts. One was William Sherwood, who at the time worked at Eastman Kodak as an optical physicist. He traveled to Rodeffer’s home and was able to determine that the flying saucer in the film was not a model but approximately 27 feet in size. Sherwood subsequently concluded that the film was genuine. Another visual imagery expert was Colonel Colman Von Kevieszky who worked at the time with the United Nations audiovisual department. He also traveled to Rodeffer’s home to investigate the video and confirmed that it was genuine. Finally, Bob Oechsler, who worked as a physicist and NASA mission specialist, also independently concluded that the film was genuine and depicted a flying saucer.

Video segment with Rodeffer discussing 1965 filming of flying saucer

Other witnesses were interviewed who said they saw flying saucers in association with Adamski’s visits. One of these was Major Hans Peterson from the Danish Air Force who had also worked at the Danish NATO exchange office in Washington DC. Peterson had arranged lectures for Adamski in Scandinavia and personally saw flying saucers during Adamski’s visits.
Adamski’s claim of having an ordnance pass which gave him access to U.S. military facilities was confirmed by William Sherwood. Sherwood himself had previously worked for the U.S. Ordnance Department and possessed his own ordnance pass. Sherwood saw Adamski’s Ordnance pass thereby giving credence to Adamski’s claims that he secretly briefed the Pentagon about his extraterrestrial contacts.
If Adamski did regularly brief the Pentagon and European VIPs, then it's very possible that one or more U.S. Presidents also met with him, and received messages from extraterrestrials. This leads to Adamski's claim that he secretly met with President Kennedy around October 1961 to deliver a message from the “space brothers.” According to Major Pederson, the message contained advise on a world crisis to occur in about a year that was later revealed to be the October 1962 Cuban Missile crisis. If true, the contents of the message may have helped Kennedy develop the right strategy for dealing with a conflict that could easily have escalated into a Third World War. The extraterrestrial message, apparently, also contained an invitation for Kennedy to meet with them in Calfornia. While there is no direct independent evidence supporting Adamski's claim, there is important circumstantial evidence that President Kennedy accepted the invitation. This had dire consequences.

Contact Cases Of The 70s

I came across this story years ago but neglected to really look into it. This one is from Mexico where a 'Professor Hernandez' (pseudonym) claimed to have encountered a female extraterrestrial. The story below is a compilation made by 'Dex', a person I know from a forum.
In 1972 an internationally known Mexican University Professor, a member of the Mexican Atomic Energy Commission, Dr. R.N. Hernandez (a pseudonym) became an extraterrestrial contactee. It all began with a voice in his head leading him to scientific breakthroughs in his own medical research in immunology which brought him special recognition by
his peers.
Hernandez knew the ideas were not his own, because he had no background in developing them. They came to his mind full blown, as though someone who knew perfectly well what he was talking about had explained them to him in detail. Later in that year he was approached by the author of that voice in his head, and it turned out to be a beautiful extraterrestrial woman who said he could call her Elyense, which he changed to LYA for short. She met him several times on the University Campus before she went any further.
LYA wore a dark pantsuit of some very fine material that the professor could not quite identify. She had dark eyes and wore dark hair shoulder length. She walked our streets and breathed our ambient air with no difficulty. She even drank fruit juice with him at a sidewalk lunch table as they talked. She was obviously far better educated than Hernandez, and he was considered one of his country's foremost scientists.
When the professor questioned LYA's extreme intelligence and the source of her superior knowledge, she took him into her confidence and told him that she was not from this planet -- that she came from another world in a group of stars we called Andromeda. He thought she meant the Andromeda Galaxy at first.
On a subsequent meeting she guided him to a secluded desert area outside of Mexico City and took him aboard her disc-shaped spacecraft. There, she showed him many scientific wonders, and at one point took him to a viewing screen where she worked some controls and brough up an image of a star-field in the screen. She showed him some guide stars in Cassiopeia and in Andromeda Constellation, and then showed him where her home sun was in relation to those other stars.
LYA told Hernandez that there were many space-races far more advanced than men of Earth who were also coming here for exploration, observation, and study of our humanity about to enter a point where we would either join others in space travel and exploration, or we would eliminate ourselves in a suicidal employment of our primitive technology. We had become a society of some interest to many.
LYA picked the professor up and took him on trips on her spacecraft on four occasions. One of them was a small five meter diameter explorer. Another was a 60 meter intermediate ship that carried a number of the smaller ones. And one time he was taken to a much larger mother-ship that was a mobile support base for several of the intermediate class. She said that they had many teams working in our solar system and here, and they had many Earth contactees. She told the professor of another contactee being used by a different contact team from her society who lived in Chicago. His name was Thomas Haskins, and he was a black man who lived in the South Side. Prof. Hernandez ultimately met Haskins and they compared notes.
LYA also told the professor of other space-traveling races carrying out operations on this planet, including, remarkably, some contacts by "Pliones" with a one -armed man who who lives in Switzerland. This was mentioned to the professor in 1976, before anything on the Pleiades contacts in Switzerland had been released outside of a very small local group of people around that man.
In 1984, with his contacts still going on, Professor Hernandez just disappeared -- without a trace -- and nothing of him has been discovered of him since, though both private and police detectives have continually searched.
A full 224 page report on these contacts has been published as UFO CONTACT FROM ANDROMEDA.
By Rodriguez-Stevens.

A more extensive report can be found here.

I do have one remark at this time. The 'one-armed man who lives in Switzerland', is of course Billy Meier and to be honest I have major objections with that case. To put it blunt, Meier is a megalomaniac, and in my opinion he is the worst "contactee" on record. In turn that makes me wonder why a sort of 'confirmation' was made (in regards to the Meier case) in this alleged contact case. Did Wendelle Stevens insert this bit of information in order to bolster other material? It's contradictory in a sense, Meier would never acknowledge high profile cases besides his own. There's a high probability he would deny (debunk) the Hernandez case. (Meier has done that with many cases including Howard Menger's and Adamski's who had more witnesses in some regards - than his own case.) So why the reference?

Just A Thought Away

Got this story from a thread at the ATS forum. It seems like experiments with ETs and telepathy can produce results.
The writer of this paper recently emulated an experiment which Timothy Good himself had carried out. On January 18th, 2009 he visited a restaurant in Hong Kong with his family and a woman business associate. In the corner was a local Chinese girl sitting with two olive skinned people, a man and a woman.... Their features were more chiseled than normal and were extremely striking and beautiful. In jest the writer said to his son Jake, “Watch, I bet they are ETs, I will ask her mentally to touch her nose”. She did so and all the family giggled at the coincidence.
The writer decided to repeat the challenge and Jake requested him to mentally ask the girl to run her fingers through her hair.
Within ten seconds she did just that. The family group became very quiet, perhaps even nervous. The writer’s wife then asked that they try to mentally ask her to drop the little blue pack of tissues (that restaurants hand out), on the ground. They all experimented with this mental request and waited more than 10 minutes. Nothing happened and a sense of relief surrounded the table. Rather disappointed the writer called for the bill and when they left the restaurant he looked back one more time. Both strangers were staring at him with a very warm smile. The writer looked at the table; the tissues were still there, but when he looked at the ground, there was another blue pack lying on the floor. The emotions threw everyone into a state of bewilderment. The writer realized that their last action was one of plausible deniability, a message in itself to leave them in peace, free of any unnecessary attention.

'The writer' is Neil Gould, apparently not a stranger to ufology (although I haven't looked up his name on a search engine yet). I shared this story on another forum where it wasn't that well received. For me there are elements which I recognise. Tim Good tried the same experiment decades ago with surprising results, so did David Hughes-Narborough (listed a couple of posts below). I'm sure there are a lot more people who went out, made (telepathic) requests and got exactly what they asked. Mainstream ufology treats (I should say avoids) this particular phenomenon like the plague. My guess is, is that this goes well beyond the comfort zone of most investigators and people who find ufology interesting. In a bad mood (and I have a few of those these days) I want to say to those people who deny this kind of experience; 'go out in the open and try it out yourself, you cowardly armchair critic'. But I realise that experiences like these are not for everyone. Most people who criticise and deny such experiences simply aren't ready for it and that's what they subconsciously spew out on forums and in real life. I guess that's the burden people carry who have experienced more.

Mystified

Weird photograph belonging to the Howard Menger case.

Adri Eani Footage

I saw this footage in a UFO documentary with Dan Aykroyd and was somewhat impressed by it. The poster of this video clip lists it on YouTube as faked but I'm not so sure. There's discussion that this is a lightbulb filmed in the reflection of a window. Yet in the beginning of the video it's seemingly way up in the sky pulsating. Needs more investigating.

Redux

Back. . . sorta. I put this blog on hold for a while because I was more than a little bit disappointed with the 'field' and a number of folks that are in it. I think it's always a good thing to take a break when things are starting to get at you. Think I'll still take it easy for while with the posting.
